Thousands of people celebrate the Penis Festival in Japan

Dozens of people participated last Sunday (12) in the traditional penis festival in Nagaoka, Japan. During the annual event, women walk the streets of town sitting on a giant wooden penis.
Young married couples, some in traditional Japanese costumes, sit on the giant phallus that, according to tradition, brings marital happiness, fertility, and good fortune.
The giant limb, measuring 2.2 meters long and weighing 600 pounds, is the main attraction of the festival, but there are sculptures of penises, of various sizes, scattered throughout the towns streets.
During the event, it is possible to find all kinds of phallic objects, from keychains to bonuses, to even more unique items.
