Answer: The hummingbird
The group includes four species, three of which exist in Brazil. They inhabit zones of mountainous forest. Hummingbirds are the only birds that can fly back and forth.
Hummingbirds of the genus Colibri are between 12 and 14 cm in length and are relatively large for their group. Its plumage is based on bright green minus the hummingbird-brown. All species of the group have a violet-colored spot behind their eyes, with tufted feathers. The tail is broad and rounded and the beak is rectilinear. The females are distinguished by the smaller violet spots.
These hummingbirds are sedentary birds, except for the species Colibri thalassinus, which migrates to the northern regions of the United States of America. They are very territorial and aggressive and it is common to attack other hummingbirds in feeding areas.
The hummingbird is a symbol of the LGBT movement in South America, because it symbolizes freedom and diversity.
