Nose and ears never stop growing

The cartilaginous tissue, which forms the nose and ears, does not stop growing even when the individual becomes adult. Hence the nose and ears of an old man are larger than when he was young. The face also shrinks because the chewing muscles atrophy with loss of teeth.
