FAMILY DEMORED 2 YEARS TO EVEN THAT THEIR PUPPY WAS NOT A PUPPY

Having a pet is something extremely common regardless of the country you are in. But, do you think you can differentiate certain animals when they are very small? Maybe this is not as easy as it sounds. After all, this family took two years to realize that the "dog" of the family was not really a dog. It is intriguing to think that this is possible but, believe me, this really happened.

Now, thinking a bit more about this, what kind of animal could be mistaken for a dog? A wolf? A bear? Well, if you kicked the second option then you, incredibly, hit it. The family that took care of the animal lives in China and adopted it in 2016, when it was still just a cub. They stated that the confusion happened because they believed he was a Tibetan Mastiff - a really big, hairy kind of dog.

The suspicions about the "dog"

The family, who lives in a Chinese village near the city of Kunming in Yunnan province, would have bought the animal during their holiday in 2016. He was taken home by Su Yun, who said he believed the animal was a dog of one race called the Tibetan Mastiff. The confusion would have been due to the large size of this species of dog and because it is extremely hairy. But still, some suspicions began to appear.

Although they only came to the conclusion that he was, in fact, a bear after 2 years, some clues eventually aroused suspicion. Yun said in an interview that the animal came to eat a box of fruit and two buckets of pasta every day. In addition, he eventually turned into a big bear of 113 pounds. And the moment they dropped the card, they called for help.

The rescue

As soon as the family realized the mistake, they had called for help and the animal was taken to the Yunnan Wildlife Rescue Center. Apparently, when the officials arrived at the house to take him they ended up being startled by the size of the animal, which was 1 meter high, and used sedatives to carry it. Later he was eventually classified as an Asian Black Bear. The authorities said that it is a species with a risk of extinction and that it cost thousands of pounds on the black market.

In his defense, the family said he was not the only one to confuse him with a dog. According to them, visitors who came to his house also treated him the same way. In addition, another similar case would have happened in March and ended up being reported by the local media. A man named Yunnan would have taken care of a bear after finding him in the woods and thought it was a dog. He ended up holding the "dog" in a cage.

Hard to imagine that a person could have been so deceived as to an animal, do not you think? Do you think you could make the same mistake? Still it's amazing to see how they managed to take care of the bear for 2 years without incident.
